Tuna Dyonmez
Pianist
Born in 2005, Tuna Dyonmez began playing piano at the age of six. From 2018 to 2023, he studied at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music with Professor Yekaterina Lebedeva, and had private lessons with Professor Niel Immelman. He is currently in his third year at the Royal College of Music, where he continues his studies with Professor Leon McCawley.
Tuna has received numerous awards at international and national competitions. Most recently, he was awarded the Absolute First Prize in Spain at the 2025 Festival Internacional de Piano de Málaga (FIMPA). His other achievements include First Prize at the North London Festival of Music and the Watford Festival of Music, Second Prize at the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Junior Intercollegiate Piano Competition and the Angela Bull Piano Competition, as well as Third Prize at the Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition. In recognition of his achievements, he received the Granger Award for four consecutive years and was supported during his final two years at the RCM Junior Department through the Hattori Foundation Junior Award.
As a performer, Tuna has appeared in solo recitals at leading venues including the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall and Wigmore Hall, and has performed in concert series across the UK, including the Stonevale Concert Series in Oxfordshire and Benslow Music’s Young Artist Platform.
An active soloist and chamber musician, Tuna regularly performs in a wide range of settings and is a member of the Arete Piano Trio. In addition to piano, he also plays the cello and enjoys chess and go in his spare time.
