Sofia Bagulho

Lisbon-native soprano Sofia Bagulho began her musical studies at the Conservatório de
Música D. Dinis and at the Lisbon Conservatory, where she studied flute with Ricardo Alves
and voice with Ângela Silva. Sofia is a master’s student at the Royal College of Music in
London, studying voice with Amanda Roocroft, Rafaela Albuquerque and Jo Ramadan. She
is a Sussex Scholar.
In 2019, she was admitted to the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, in
London, where she completed a Bachelor's degree in V oice Performance under the guidance
of Joan Rodgers, Jon Christos, and Robert Bottriell graduating with First Honours, being
awarded Trinity Laban Silver Medal of the V ocal Department. In recent years, she has
participated in several masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Eleonora Pacetti,
Neil Semer, Lynn Eustis, Elisabete Matos, Ana Paula Russo, Aylish Tynan, Susan Bullock,
and Fiona Kimm, among others.
She has been awarded 1st prize in Bendada International Music Festival and Terras de
Santiago, and 2nd Prize in Medici International Music Competition, Euterpe Music Awards
and Birmingham International Music Competition. She has given recitals in the USA, Italy,
Portugal and UK.
