Lucia Foti
Harpist
Lucia Foti is a London-based Italian harpist. She has recently completed her master’s,
graduating with distinction from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she
studied under the tutelage of Gabriella Dall’Olio and Frances Kelly, generously supported by
Trinity College London and a Trinity Laban Scholarship. She was also awarded the 2023
John Marson Harp Prize for Outstanding Musicianship.
Previously, she studied with Maria Ester Gattoni at Conservatorio di Como, Italy, graduating
with first class honours.
Third prize at the 2024 Manchester Harp Competition, Lucia has won several national and
international competitions, including first prize at the 2012 Concours Français de la Harpe and
a first prize scholarship at the 2015 Soroptimist Italia Competition for Young Talents.
She is a current reserve of the Young Musicians’ Symphony Orchestra, with whom she
performs at Cadogan Hall and St John’s Smith Square.
Lucia freelances with different orchestras and ensembles, including a collaboration with
Aalborg Opera Festival, Denmark, for which she premiered Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour’s
chamber opera The Red Room (2023).
Lucia has attended masterclasses with world-famous harpists such as Elizabeth Fontan-
Binoche, Judith Liber, Isabelle Perrin, Fabrice Pierre, Luisa Prandina, Park Stickney and
Gwyneth Wentink.
